The Organometallic Chemistry Section of the Polish Chemical Society focuses on integrating the academic community conducting research on organometallic compounds: their synthesis, reactivity, and applications in organic chemistry, catalysis, and materials chemistry.
The thematic scope of the Section's interests covers a wide range of compounds involving main-group metals, metalloids, and transition elements, including classical organometallic compounds and metal complexes. The Section promotes research on: synthetic methods, reaction mechanisms, structural analysis, and the use of organometallic compoundsd as precursors in the development of innovative materials and nanomatterials such as MOFs, quantum dots, and other materials used in optoelectronics, photocatalysis, and biocatalysis.
